Convergent Defense Foundation
Our purpose

We study what India's security forces need, then build it in India.

An independent non-profit serving India's public safety, defence and emergency response forces. Alongside the research we run an engineering team, so what we recommend we can also build.

PHYTRE — Physical Security Tactical Research and Exercises

Cyber security teams have MITRE ATT&CK. Physical security has no widely used equivalent. PHYTRE models an intrusion into a protected site as a chain of stages, organised by what the adversary is trying to achieve, so drills and audits can be built around a realistic adversary.

Version 0.1 is in development with practitioners, and is shared only with vetted organisations.

ModelIntent → kill chain → techniques, organised by what the adversary wants
CoveragePhysical intrusions, including where they lean on access control, CCTV and alarms
UseDrill design, security audits and training
ScopeAny protected site, across sectors
AccessRestricted to vetted organisations

Concept

Disaster-response comms kit

Portable mesh communications for teams operating where infrastructure has failed.

Prototype

TALON Edge device

GPS-enabled edge node with an integrated camera and IR night vision. It feeds event-triggered captures into the TALON mesh.

Prototype

Low-cost welfare sensing

Affordable environmental and safety sensing for under-served communities.

Research

Acoustic classification models

On-device models to distinguish threat sounds from ambient forest audio.
